Cheyenne Jensen Obituary, Death – Cheyenne Hope Jensen, a vibrant soul at the age of 27, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Born on May 13, 1996, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Glen and Pamela Jensen, Cheyenne’s magnetic personality and loving ways touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Cheyenne spent her childhood in Menlo, Iowa, where she discovered her passion for cheerleading and dance during her high school days. In 2014, she graduated from West Central Valley and went on to pursue her dreams at Mercy College of Health Sciences. In 2017, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and that same year, she was blessed with the light of her life, Beckham Tate.

Her professional journey at Mercy College was marked by remarkable achievements. Starting as a patient care technician, Cheyenne quickly climbed the ranks, eventually becoming the nursing director of the neurology department. Not only did she excel in her career, but she also dedicated her time to coordinate multiple Criusin’ for a Cure events, raising funds for Huntington’s Disease research. As a board member of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America Iowa Chapter, she contributed passionately to the cause. Cheyenne’s life was a celebration of joy and love. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Beckham; fiance, Luke Torry; sisters, Whitney (Troy) Miller and Holly Jensen (Kyle); niece, Dallas Morgan; nephew, Bentley Miller; and grandparents, Jack and Marcella Waltz, along with many other family members and friends.

Known for her creativity, fun spirit, and infectious laugh, Cheyenne created unforgettable memories with her loved ones. Whether it was “make” shows with Beckham, TikTok with Dallas, or cheering on the Hawkeyes with Bentley, she radiated positivity. Her magnetic and charismatic persona attracted people naturally, and she lived to make the best of every situation. Cheyenne held titles such as Mom, Auntie, Fiancé, Best Friend, Sister, and future daughter-in-law, fulfilling each role with boundless love and enthusiasm. She enjoyed game nights, Mexican food Fridays, puzzles, movie nights, porch nights, smore-making, baking, shopping, and had a sophisticated, boujee sense of style. Her love for Taylor Swift and Thomas Rhett music reflected her eclectic taste.
