British rock outfit The Ramona Flowers switch things up this week, by putting a fresh twist on one of their most successful singles, ‘Up All Night’.
Originally presented as an out-and-out dance track, featuring legendary record artist Nile Rodgers, the new stripped back version focuses on a softer sound, with gentle percussion and lighter production, revealing the rich sentiment, and true emotional depth behind the songs powerful lyric.
Included on the bands 2022 6-track EP ‘Gotta Get Home’, ‘Up All Night’ charted at No.25 in the Top 40 New Music Chart in the US, and is now climbing the national charts at alternative radio. To date the song has amassed over a million streams combined.
Commenting on the remake, the group say in a joint statement: “The original version is a proper dance track, so we really wanted to do a different twist that would highlight the depth of the lyrics and draw attention to the real meaning of the story.”
